    First Visit

    Dr. Choi and her staff look forward to meeting you and your family at your first visit.

    Paramount Orthodontics offers free consultations during their first visit. Dr. Choi is always excited about meeting new patients. Dr. Choi will perform an in-depth oral examination, discuss potential treatment options, and review a potential financial arrangement. This important visit will address the orthodontic needs of you or your loved one.

    During the initial visit, Dr. Choi will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment.

    • Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
    • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
    • What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
    • How long will treatment take?
    • How much will it cost? What are my payment options?

    Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit.

    We know your time is valuable. Please bring the following information to expedite treatment.

    • Any x-rays (if applicable)
    • A list of medications you are presently taking
    • If you have orthodontic insurance, please bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to give you an estimate of your costs.
    • Completed patient registration form.

    Treatment planning

    If it is determined that treatment is indicated, you will be scheduled for diagnostic records. These records usually consist of study models, diagnostic photographs and orthodontic X-rays. Once these orthodontic records have been obtained, Dr. Choi will review them and determine a specific treatment plan for your orthodontic needs. Then we will review your treatment plan, set up the necessary appointments to begin your orthodontic treatment and set up financial arrangements for you. We insist that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take. Also, we will answer any additional questions.
